The Pink Issue

A few days ago I went to a pig intensive production in Alentejo, Portugal.
(I've chosen 36 out of the 260 photos I've taken that day...)
In what concerns animal rights and welfare I have a strict opinion - animals shouldn't be kept in captivity during long periods of time without being able to go outside ever in their entire lifetime and only be fed with farmers feed mix.
Among with lots of other wrong practices which can be observed in massive production farm animals.
Animals at least deserve a dignified life and a decent living and they rely on you to speak for them!!!
My fight is against indoor animal productions + stupid legislations and interests that are behind this industry... Meat massive production is not sustainable and it does not take into account animal rights. We must reconsider our food habits and spread the word in order to change what one day will be to late to be changed.
To help u understand my point of view please take a look at the following pictures.
*Please regard that in this specific intensive farm I did not witnessed animals being mistreated/abused physically.*

/ Me (curly blonde hair) and my friend in the mirror

/ on our way to Alentejo

/ cows living free!

/ pig houses

/ pig feed containers

/ humm let me smell u stranger!!

/ piglets playing with each other under warm lighting

/ awww they are so cute!! I just can't eat them!

/ this is where the female pigs stay during more or less one month. Is where they are artificially inseminated
Start the change this Christmas... :) reduce the amount of meat you eat per month, planet and animals will appreciate
keep in mind
